This active journey takes you around southern Vietnam. Experience the Mekong Delta from bike and boat, hike in the jungle of Nam Cat Tien National Park, and cycle from the mountains to the beach.

The journey offers an insight into the Vietnamese past and present. The Cu Chi tunnels provide the impression of a gloomy period of war, the Mekong Delta is known as Vietnam’s pantry and the mountains and jungle show how amazing and varied the nature of Vietnam has.

Day 2 Arrival in Saigon Elios Hotel
When you land at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Cho Minh City (formerly Saigon), our driver welcomes you and drives you to your hotel inside the city.

The rest of the day you can explore on your own in lively Ho Chi Minh City, or relax after the journey.

Day 3 Cu Chi Tunnels and Saigon by Night on back of motorbike Elios Hotel
After breakfast you will be picked up at the hotel and they will drive approx. 70 km to Cu Chi, where the huge tunnel is located. A visit to the Cu Chi tunnels is a retrospect on Vietnam's close past. You come down below the earth's surface, and can feel on its own body how it was to move around and live in the tunnels during the Vietnam War.

In Cu Chi you see violent bomb craters. The United States bombed close here through much of the war, and you also see the deadly traps that were one of the vietcong's counterparts.

In the middle of the day, back in Ho Chi Minh City, you have plenty of time to sample world-renowned Vietnamese street cuisine.

At the end of the afternoon, our tour guide will meet you at the hotel and then take you around Ho Chi Minh City behind a Vespa.
The experienced driver is used to the city's traffic and together you drive along beautifully lit boulevards, narrow alleyways and busy streets.

There are several stops along the way with the opportunity to taste local specialties, pancakes and Vietnamese noodles. The restaurants are carefully selected. Away from the usual tourist spots, so you can eat local food with the locals. There is of course also the opportunity to taste the pleasant Vietnamese coffee, even the opportunity to learn the art of coffee making - in Vietnamese.

Before returning to the hotel, we stop at a modest place with the most delightful desserts.

Day 4 Transfer to Mekong Delta Coco Riverside Lodge
It is now time to leave the hectic city and venture out into the scenic Mekong Delta. After breakfast our driver will drive you the three hours to Vung Liem out in the delta.

After lunch, the afternoon offers a bike ride. You cycle along quiet small roads, past duck gardens, through rice fields, reed forests and countless small villages. Along the way, you visit a dragon fruit plantation and can also taste the fruit in the garden. You will also visit the local farmer Mr. Cong. Here you will see how he makes the unique and nutritious food-popped rice (a kind of rice popcorn), he will also show you the mix of traditional and modern farming methods used today.

The afternoon ends with a visit to the neighbor. Here, a war veteran will perform traditional Vietnamese music - in torch lighting - the torches are the local Poon Sticks.

The evening will be your introduction to Vietnamese cooking and you will be allowed to try your hand at the kitchen. It is a fun and educational experience and you can take a small piece of Vietnamese culture with you.

Day 5 Full day explore deeper Mekong Coco Riverside Lodge
While enjoying your breakfast, the Vietnamese have already loaded their boats and are on their way to the markets and factories with especially coconuts. The traffic on the river is lively, children sailing to school, the adults at work or to the Cao Dai temple.
On today's trip you can experience at close range how coconuts are processed at the factories.

Lunch back at the lodge when you are back from today's boat trip.

In the afternoon, along with the guide, you cycle out and see how the locals process rice and we also visit the more than 200-year-old Chua Xu Temple, where locals and visitors from other provinces come to pray. The bike tour continues through fields, over canals and with stops in beautiful villages before returning to the lodge.

Day 6 From Mekong Delta to the jungle Ta Lai Long House
Stroll around the green area after breakfast. The locals will show you how to use the leaves from the coconut plant for building material and for making torches, the so-called "Poon sticks".

The trip now goes from the lush but flat Mekong Delta, to the green and hilly Nam Cat Tien National Park. The drive takes about 6 hours, but brings you to a natural gem.

Nam Cat Tien National Park is a paradise for lovers of nature and outdoor activities. The park covers one of the largest areas of tropical rainforest in Vietnam and is home to many rare plants and animals, including Asian elephants, sun bears, gaur and a variety of smaller mammals.

Day 7 Trekking to Crocodile Lake Ta Lai Long House
On this all-day hike through the wild jungle you walk along paths past small streams, hilly lots and volcanic rocks. From Ta Lai Longhouse, the local guide will take you through the National Park to Crocodile Lake.

Well ahead, you can rest for a while and maybe take a quiet canoe trip on the lake while trying to spot various birds, crocodiles and many other jungle animals.

The trip back to your accommodation takes place in one of the park's jeeps.

Note: This hike is not available during the rainy season.

Day 8 To the mountains Du Parc Hotel Dalat
It's time to say goodbye to the jungle and continue the journey to the famous highland town of Dalat. The area around the area provides the country's finest tea, coffee and flowers.

On the drive towards Dalat you will quickly notice the changes in the landscape as you move from the flat lowland to the wooded mountains. Located at an altitude of 1,500 meters, Dalat was once the mountain town of Frenchman to escape the big cities and enjoy the fresh air.

Today, Dalat is the capital of "Vietnamese romance" and here how many couples travel on their honeymoon.

After arriving and checking in at the hotel you can hike a quiet walk in the city and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Day 9 Cycling tour Da Lat - Ninh Chu TTC Resort Premium
Before the bike ride starts, you will be driven by car the first approx. 25 km. On the bike, the trip goes along quiet country roads between vegetable terraces, forest areas, coffee plantations and much more. Lunch is eaten in a small village before waiting more than 20 km where it goes downhill. The tour goes through the Ngoan Muc pass, which is known to be one of the most beautiful in Vietnam.

The spectacular mountain views are perfect for pictures, so stop the bike once in a while and enjoy the surroundings.

At the bottom of the descent, the air temperature will naturally be higher, and the rest of the day's journey continues by car to the hotel.

The bike path is approx. 65 km in total, but there will be a companion car all the way, so you can at any time choose to stop the bike ride where you feel about it.

Day 10 Cycling Ninh Chu - Mui Ne Pandanus Resort
In the front, the beaches are waiting, but first the program offers a nice bike ride on coastal roads through fishing villages.

You will have lunch at a local restaurant. Subsequently, the cycle wave continues to wave, first through white sand dunes - known as Vietnam's Sahara - and later through red sand dunes.

Again today, the trailer car is all the way, so you choose whether you ride up to 70 km, or you would rather have a lift. The day both starts and ends with a transfer by car.

Day 11 Relaxing day in Mui Ne Pandanus Resort
Mui Ne is a tropical beach with wonderfully warm weather, so here is ideal for swimming and relaxation. You have at your disposal during the day so you can relax or throw yourself into trying diving, windsurfing or other activities like the local provider.

Day 12 Transfer to Saigon airport for flight back to Denmark
Today, the last opportunity for a dip in the ocean before driving to the airport at Ho Chi Minh City - is a drive of approx. 4.5 hours.
